The Impact of COVID-19 on Dopamine Neurons: Understanding Senescence and Neurological Symptoms
The world witnesses the aftermath of COVID-19 pandemic, and researchers find odd links between this virus and neurological symptoms. New discoveries made by scientists working at the Institute of Weill Cornell Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians have brought into light an unbelievable influence on dopamine neurons in the brain. This disclosure has many implications on long-term effects particularly, brain fog depression and even Parkinson disease. In this paper we analyze the results obtained during studies of senescence when exposed to SARS-CoV-2 in dopamine neurons.\r\n
